Nomura's new global head of FX options could soon have a very wealthy wife
Mukund Daga has spent 14 years working in FX trading. We will not opine here about the size of his bonuses, but we will observe that there is more than one way to earn the sort of money that's commonly associated with working for the likes of Millennium.

Daga, who recently left Barclays in London and who is now on his way to Nomura to be global head of FX options in Singapore, has firsthand experience of alternative ways. His wife is selling her fintech company Tazapay, which she founded six years ago with two men, for $400m.
Daga didn't respond to a request to comment for this article. It's not clear how much his wife, Kanupriya Sharda, will benefit personally from the sale. Nor is clear whether he will become a househusband once her earn-out is over. Maybe they will just have a nice holiday.
Either way, six years building a B2B 'cross border payments infrastructure firm' that's sold for $400m seems like a good investment of time. Sharda was once an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs, but she gave that up 13 years ago. Leaving banking has worked out well for her.
