JPMorgan and Chirayu Rana: Inside banking’s most infamous scandal

We've launched a new weekly video series to accompany Morning Coffee, in which we look at one story in more depth to give you the full picture.

Earlier this year, a case was filed in the New York district courts which caught the eye of everyone in finance. Chirayu Rana, a former VP in JPMorgan's leveraged finance team, made a series of outlandish accusations, asserting that an executive director at the bank made him her sex slave.

The subsequent legal battle has taken twists and turns. JPMorgan denies Rana's allegations, as did Lorna Hajdini, the accused executive director. Rana's case was dropped from the district court and moved to federal court earlier this week. A new filing this week revealed new information, but also raised more questions in what is an already murky situation. Discover what we know so far by watching The Coffee Run.
