Harriet Tyce, a top Nomura trader's wife, is a TV sensation
Nat Tyce, the head of global markets for EMEA at Nomura, is a big deal in macro trading. His wife Harriet is, however, becoming a bigger deal on British TV.

Harriet Tyce is starring on the BBC TV program 'The Traitors', where she appears to be a popular contestant. Seen here discussing the merits of a competitor, Tyce has been described as "lovely" on Reddit, where viewers have been discussing who her husband might be and whether she might be married to a fellow contestant.
Harriet has, instead, been married to Nat for 25 years. Before joining Nomura in 2023, Nat Tyce spent over two decades at Barclays. When he left Barclays, he was described as a "deeply valued colleague", who'd helped build the bank's macro trading business. Before becoming a TV celebrity, Harriet was a criminal barrister and (remains) a successful crime novelist.
Fans of Harriet have been celebrating her ability to take down fellow Traitors competitors who are "too big for their boots." Competitors assemble at a castle and are divided into 'Faithfuls' and 'Traitors'. Faithfuls have to detect traitors and traitors select a faithful to "murder" each morning. £120k can be won.
Nomura declined to comment on events on TV. It is not unusual for bankers to be married to novelists - Peter Sands of Standard Chartered was, for example, married to Betsy Tobin.
Harriet says Nat is proud of her TV appearance. London traders appear to be watching curiously.
It is not clear how much Nat is paid at Nomura, but regulatory filings for 2024 revealed that three people there earned over €4m (£3.5m) that year.
