Job Title : Lead Data Engineer

Salary Range: £95, - £15,


Location: London, Eastleigh - twice a month in office




Lead Data Engineer: Lead the design, development and continos improvement of a modern clod-based data platform. Spport the delivery of trsted, scalable and accessible data prodcts that enable analytics, machine learning and AI across the bsiness.



We are looking for an experience Lead Data Engineer with expectational hands on knowledge of Databricks, Spark, SQL and Python.




Main Responsibilities:

Lead the development and improvement of the data platform and engineering standards.

Mentor and spport a team of data engineers to help them grow and scceed.

Design, bild and maintain scalable data pipelines and data prodcts.

Work with analytics, AI and bsiness teams to solve data challenges.

Improve platform reliability, performance, secrity and cost efficiency.

Drive best practice in testing, atomation, CI/CD and Infrastrctre as Code.

Spport the delivery of trsted data for reporting, modelling and AI se cases.

Help shape data strategy and assess new technologies and tools.

Promote continos improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.

Ensre data governance and compliance reqirements are bilt into soltions.

Skills and experience yo need:

Strong experience in Data Engineering and clod-based data platforms.

Hands-on knowledge of Databricks, Spark, SQL and Python.

nderstanding of Airflow, Terraform and modern engineering practices.

Experience bilding large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and simple way.

Collaborative approach and enjoyment of working across teams.

Passion for coaching, mentoring and helping others develop.

Focs on qality, cstomer otcomes and continos improvement.

Interest in AI and emerging technologies.
