We're partnering with a well-established, Asia-focused absolute-return manager on a senior industrials hire for its long/short equity platform. This is a genuine idea-generation seat with real capital behind your best work, and a clear path to a sub-PM mandate for the right performer.

What you'll do

1. Own fundamental research across the global and Greater China industrials complex, spanning the full value chain from raw inputs through to finished-goods manufacturers
2. Build and defend long and short positions of institutional size, sizing and managing risk on your own book of ideas
3. Run a disciplined research and monitoring process grounded in fundamentals, while staying nimble enough to adjust as the market tells you something new
4. Collaborate across regions and sectors with other investment professionals, sharing angles and pressure-testing theses

What you'll bring

1. 7+ years of buyside (secondary market) experience covering industrials, with strong coverage of both global and Greater China names
2. A track record of independently running meaningful long/short exposure and being accountable for the P&L
3. Genuine cross-market perspective: the ability to read a local situation and place it in a global context
4. Fluency in both Mandarin and English, written and spoken
5. Bonus points for experience collaborating across sectors or regions on joint research
