Your new role
- Manage and lead a team of junior security analysts operating in a shift-based environment, ensuring effective monitoring of client security systems.
- Oversee round-the-clock SOC operations by planning schedules, allocating resources, and maintaining sufficient team coverage.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance reviews, and skills development initiatives to strengthen team capability and technical expertise.
- Supervise initial incident investigation workflows, ensuring timely analysis, documentation, and escalation in line with agreed service levels.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, playbooks, and escalation guidelines to standardise incident handling.
- Act as an escalation point for more complex or critical security incidents.
- Oversee the effective use of security platforms, ensuring proper monitoring and response practices.
- Promote process improvements and automation to enhance detection efficiency and reduce alert fatigue.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance
- Lead post-incident review sessions to identify gaps and improve operational processes.
- Work closely with advanced security teams and intelligence functions to strengthen detection use cases and response strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
- Security relevant professional certifications are preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/security operations
- Solid technical knowledge across infrastructure domains
- Familiarity with service management and quality frameworks
- Understanding of project delivery methodologies is an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Cantonese and English.
- Willingness to support shift-based or on-call operations where required.
