C++ Developer | Front Office Trading Technology
Location: Chicago or New York City
Requirements
- 1+ years of professional experience (ideal range: 2-10+ years)
- Strong modern C++ development experience (C++11+ required, newer standards preferred)
- Proven ability to design, build, test, optimize, deploy, and maintain production software
Strongly Preferred
- Consistent career progression with solid tenure at previous employers
- Python development experience
- Background in high-performance, low-latency, or other performance-critical distributed systems
- Experience working with large-scale, data-intensive applications
- Exposure to fixed income, ETFs, capital markets, or electronic trading platforms
- Experience leveraging generative AI in software development workflows
Nice-to-Have
- Rust, Bash
- Public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Linux environments, containerization, databases, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tooling
- Open-source contributions
What You'll Do
Join a highly specialized front-office engineering team building next-generation trading and research technology. This role requires hands-on contribution across a broad technology stack, including trading infrastructure, connectivity, market data, order management, pricing systems, research platforms, and operational tooling.
Engineers work closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and business stakeholders, taking ownership throughout the full software development lifecycle. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on solving complex technical challenges with direct business impact.
