An established private markets investment platform with a 25+ year track record is seeking a Vice President to join its growing investment team. The firm has deployed and managed over $5 billion of capital across multiple market cycles, partnering with lower middle market businesses throughout North America through customized debt and equity financing solutions.

Position Overview

The Vice President will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments across a variety of transaction types, including:

• Leveraged Buyouts
• Recapitalizations
• Growth Financings
• Management Buyouts
• Refinancings
• Acquisition Financings

Working closely with senior investment professionals, the Vice President will lead diligence efforts, evaluate new investment opportunities, oversee transaction execution, and support portfolio company initiatives. The role also includes active participation in investment committee discussions, portfolio reviews, and mentorship of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities



Investment Evaluation & Execution

• Lead detailed financial analysis and complex modeling for debt and equity investment opportunities.
• Evaluate prospective investments and develop investment theses, recommendations, and presentation materials.
• Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to support investment decisions.
• Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with management teams, lenders, consultants, and third-party advisors.
• Drive transaction execution from initial evaluation through closing.

Portfolio Management

• Monitor portfolio company performance and analyze key operating and financial metrics.
• Partner with management teams to support strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and value creation efforts.
• Participate in board meetings, portfolio reviews, and ongoing investment oversight.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and operational improvements across the portfolio.

Team Leadership

• Mentor and develop Associates and junior investment professionals.
• Help manage transaction workstreams and maintain execution standards across the team.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on investment strategy, portfolio construction, and new opportunity assessment.

Qualifications



Required

• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
• 6-8 years of experience in:
  • Private Credit
  • Private Equity
  • Investment Banking
  • Leveraged Finance
  • Corporate Finance or related investing roles
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and credit underwriting capabilities.
• Demonstrated transaction execution experience across complex debt and/or equity investments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
