Working Patterns and location - Fully on site
Key responsibilities
• Design, build and support secure cloud platforms using modern engineering and automation practices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code, configuration management and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with customers, architects and security specialists to deliver secure cloud solutions.
• Monitor, operate and continuously improve cloud platforms to maintain resilience and availability.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and deployment issues across modern cloud environments.
• Contribute to cloud security, risk management and compliance ensuring secure-by-design principles.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability, standards and best practice.
• Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to improve platform capabilities and customer outcomes.
Skills & experience
• Hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platforms.
• Experience designing, deploying or supporting cloud-based infrastructure and services.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools and deployment automation approaches.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, security and operational best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues in modern infrastructure environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Clear and effective communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:
• Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of cloud security controls, compliance frameworks and secure-by-design principles.
• Experience developing automation using scripting or software development languages.
• AWS certifications or equivalent recognised cloud qualifications.
• Experience working within secure, regulated or government environments.
