Associate - Direct Real Estate

Pictet London, United Kingdom
Associate - Direct Real Estate

Your team

Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment asset manager that is part of the Pictet Group, with a focus on private equity, private real estate, private credit and hedge funds. Pictet Group currently has more than €50bn of AUM in alternatives and more than USD 5bn of private real estate AUM.

You will be part of a team of 20 professionals dedicated to Pictet's pan-European Direct Real Estate franchise, which began in 2019 with the launch of Elevation Fund I, a EUR 700 million value-add fund. Elevation Fund II was closed in 2026 raising over EUR 600 million and a Core Plus fund, with approximately EUR 300 million under management, was launched in 2021. The team is distributed across several locations: in London, where the core investment and asset management teams are based; in Geneva, where the investment legal and investor relations teams operate; and in Berlin, Stockholm, and Madrid, where our regional heads are located. Additionally, fund support functions such as fund administration, compliance, and legal affairs are situated in Luxembourg.

As we continue to expand our franchise, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our investment team in London.

Your role

  • Support the acquisition process: Assist in sourcing new investment opportunities, reviewing underwriting / modelling investments, preparing documents required for internal Investment Committee approval, carrying out due diligence (commercial, technical, legal, structuring, tax), agreeing terms with various counterparties;

  • Assist in asset and portfolio management process: Work with the team to manage a multi-sector, pan-European portfolio of direct real estate investments. Collaborate with operating partners and your asset management and finance colleagues to enhance investment performance and help prepare quarterly reports and ad-hoc internal presentations;

  • Contribute actively to disposal and refinancing processes: Coordinate with operating partners, brokers, lenders and prospective buyers to successfully dispose of portfolio assets. Assist in evaluating performance impact of sales and refinancings;

  • Contribute to fundraising process: Assist in preparing ad-hoc materials related to existing and pipeline investments.

Your profile

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a top tier university;

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in private real estate, acquired either through an investment bank or a high calibre value add fund or an operating partner;

  • Proven solid modelling and analytical skills acquired in demanding working environments;

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and a natural ability to work with a team across various locations;

  • Excellent command of English and another European language is required for this role.

In addition to professional skills, the successful applicant should demonstrate enthusiasm, dynamism, maturity and be eager to achieve results, always with a keen sense of ethics and as a strong team player.

As the chosen candidate you will have a unique opportunity to join one of the world's leading private financial institutions, in an ambitious direct investments team, working from the outset in an exciting "start-up" environment while being supported by experienced senior industry professionals in the PAA team and the wider Pictet Group.

This position will provide you with exceptional exposure to different asset classes and transactions across Europe, to senior high-calibre professionals with strong industry track records and the possibility to directly contribute to the success of the franchise.

Note

We will not accept any CVs via agencies
