What you'll do
As a Value Office Lead, you'll play a key role in supporting the Finance Investment process and the effective running of the Risk and Finance change portfolio, ensuring strong governance, prioritisation, and decision-making. You'll also provide governance and oversight of the portfolio, making sure of alignment to strategic priorities, while supporting the Finance Investment process, including prioritisation, governance, and decision-making.
Moreover, you'll improve planning and delivery by maintaining high-quality, consistent data, while promoting best practice programme and project management across the portfolio. You'll also provide oversight of delivery, risks, and dependencies to support effective outcomes, undertaking portfolio management activities, including tracking delivery, dependencies, risks, and issues, while driving the implementation of regular progress reporting and supporting the preparation of portfolio-level updates.

What you'll do
As a Value Office Lead, you'll play a key role in supporting the Finance Investment process and the effective running of the Risk and Finance change portfolio, ensuring strong governance, prioritisation, and decision-making. You'll also provide governance and oversight of the portfolio, making sure of alignment to strategic priorities, while supporting the Finance Investment process, including prioritisation, governance, and decision-making.
Moreover, you'll improve planning and delivery by maintaining high-quality, consistent data, while promoting best practice programme and project management across the portfolio. You'll also provide oversight of delivery, risks, and dependencies to support effective outcomes, undertaking portfolio management activities, including tracking delivery, dependencies, risks, and issues, while driving the implementation of regular progress reporting and supporting the preparation of portfolio-level updates.
In addition, you'll be:
- Producing and maintaining clear, accurate reporting for the Risk and Finance change portfolio
- Tracking cross-project dependencies and supporting the effective resolution of risks and issues
- Supporting project financial control and performance tracking across the portfolio
- Promoting best practice, standards, and continuous improvement across delivery teams
- Implementing guidelines, procedures, and templates to ensure consistent data collection and reporting
- Establishing and maintaining effective information management systems for project documentation
- Supporting the creation and maintenance of programme and project plans
The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with experience in project support roles, either internally or externally, with a good understanding of project types and the project lifecycle.
You'll also need:
- Expertise in tools such as MS Office, Planview, Oracle, and SharePoint
- Strong knowledge of organisational processes and procedures, including risk frameworks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
