Join Jerroms , a long-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice, as we continue to grow our teams in Coventry and Leamington Spa within our Leigh Christou division.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager with a strong background in UK accountancy practice to take on a key leadership role within a dynamic and supportive team. You'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality accounting and tax services, while acting as a trusted advisor to businesses across a range of sectors.

As an Accounts Manager, you'll oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts, management accounts and corporation tax returns, ensuring work is delivered accurately and on time. You'll build and maintain strong client relationships, providing proactive advice and support, and identifying opportunities to add value to their businesses.

A significant part of the role will involve leading, mentoring and developing junior team members, reviewing their work and supporting their professional growth. You'll work closely with senior leadership to help drive the continued success and growth of the practice, contributing to operational improvements and ensuring exceptional client service standards are maintained.

This role is ideal for a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with proven experience in practice, strong technical knowledge, and excellent people management skills. You'll be ambitious, commercially minded, and eager to play an influential role within a growing firm that values expertise, collaboration and career development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact and building strong, trusted relationships.
• Review and oversee the preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and tax compliance work.
• Provide proactive accounting, tax and business advice, supporting clients with their growth and commercial objectives.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior team members, reviewing work and supporting their professional development.
• Manage workflow, budgets and deadlines to ensure high-quality client service and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with Directors and Partners to identify opportunities for practice growth and deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• ACA or ACCA qualified, with significant experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, tax compliance, and client portfolio management.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of junior team members.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to advise clients and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
• Commercially minded, proactive and solutions-focused, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
