Job Description:

Participate in the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements elicitation, application architecture definition, and design. Conduct regular sprint planning in Jira to create concise, clear sprint goals that align with the overall product vision and objectives. Prepare both low-level and high-level design documents. Develop domain models, write code, and perform unit testing on business development features. Design, build, and maintain automated job flows using BMC Control-M. Collaborate with application teams to integrate new batch processes into Control-M and optimize job performance to meet service-level requirements. Set up Control-M environments from scratch, including preparing the system, installing Control-M components, and configuring the environment. Perform installations, upgrades, and configurations of Control-M components (e.g., EM, Servers, and Agents), including managing and applying patches and fix-packs. Integrate Control-M/Enterprise Manager with LDAP directory servers (such as Active Directory) to authenticate users and manage access permissions based on LDAP group memberships. Automate recurring tasks through Control-M scripts and APIs (CLI and REST API) and develop Python scripts for custom actions within workflows. Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline job execution and monitoring. Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency. Collaborate with other teams to implement new features, enhancements, and integrations within the Control-M environment. Configure a Control-M High Availability environment to ensure continuous operation in case of a primary server failure. Perform disaster recovery (DR) testing for Control-M in a high-availability environment to ensure smooth failover and fallback processes. Migrate existing applications and develop new applications on cloud services. Ensure application availability in production through structured monitoring. Identify and remediate invalid data from the production environment in compliance with business requirements. Perform unit testing and resolve identified issues. Liaise with application and business stakeholders to resolve production issues. Position may be eligible for part-time telecommuting.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent* in information technology, computer science, or a related technical discipline and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in an information technology occupation. The required experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with each of the following:
  • Control-M administration, architecture, enterprise application, and data workflow orchestration within cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and backups of Control-M servers, agents, and components.
  • Migration of Control-M jobs between environments and from AutoSys to Control-M, including setting up new jobs.
  • Control-M components, integrations, reporting, APIs, and scripting to support automation and optimization.
  • CI/CD, DevOps tools, and the application development lifecycle.
  • Monitoring and incident management, including configuring job execution monitoring, triage, troubleshooting, and resolving issues or failures proactively.
  • ServiceNow, Jira GAPS.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).

40 hours per week 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM.

Work location: 8200 Jones Branch Drive, McLean, VA 22102.

This position has a prevailing wage of $175,427.00 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
