Sales Development Representative for Energy and Natural Resources
About Us Within the Energy and Natural Resources, the Financial & Capital Markets team supports the financial industry for all ENR needs ranging from Oil & Gas, Power & Renewables to Chemicals and Metals & Mining. It is a very dynamic and successful team looking to add some resources to support the senior account managers with a view to converting into a sales role within two years.
Your Role You will be a key member of the IHS Markit Financial & Capital Markets Energy and Natural Resources Sales Team. You will be based in London reporting into the EMEA sales leader, you will work with the team to support the account managers across the sales cycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work on renewals with the account manager, get feedback from clients
- Create proposals for ENR, work with Sales support to issue quotation and documentation
- Utillise SalesForce to update client interactions
- Collaborate with sales teams to monitor marketing activities; follow up on new leads and create innovative lead generation ideas
- Monitor past due renewals, denial content
- Become familiar with IHS Markit's Energy and Natural Resources product portfolio through building internal relationship within the ENR Group.
About Us You maintain a self-starter attitude while supporting the senior account managers in the team.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- BA/BS degree and potential previous sales experience
- Fluency in verbal and written English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus
- Strong interest in the Energy and Natural Resources sector
- Knowledge of the financial services industry is a plus
- Flawless communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience in the financial services industry; familiarity with the energy, chemical and/or natural resources industries is a plus
- Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel and SalesForce; experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and phone/email presence; must be able to deal with others in a pleasant manner and work under varying degrees of pressure and time constraints
- Great listening skills and responsiveness
- Personal initiative and ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently and effectively
- Ability to work independently while still interacting within an integrated team structure
