The firm are a leading private equity fund, investing in mid-sized businesses across sectors including technology, healthcare and more. Due to recent growth, the firm are looking to make the addition of a Financial Controller to their team. This is a newly created role that is perfect for a recently qualified accountant coming out of practice. This is a hands-on position that requires previous accounts preparation experience, so you will ideally have gained experience in some aspects of financial reporting - having trained at a smaller practice would be beneficial. This is a superb and unique opportunity to join a leading firm and learn from experienced private equity professionals in a relaxed working environment that has a great culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Take complete control of the corporate accounting responsibilities, including:
  • Analysis of cash flows, monthly P&Ls, managing the year-end audit and more
  • Quarterly VAT returns, preparation of annual financial statements, and preparation of the annual budget
  • Ad-hoc tasks, such as performance measurement, monitoring of LLP's financial position and more

YOUR PROFILE:
  • Recently qualified accountant
  • You'll have had hands-on accounts preparation experience and understand the corporate accounting side of a business. Having trained a small to mid-size practice is beneficial
  • Knowledge of private equity isn't essential but would be a benefit
  • Keen to learn and take on a new challenge
  • Strong technical skills
