We are currently looking to speak with ambitious Commercial Litigation Solicitors at all levels, including Associate, Senior Associate and Partner, to join our growing teams in Leeds, Sheffield and York.



This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly regarded Commercial Litigation practice with a strong reputation in the market, acting for a broad range of clients on complex and high-value disputes.



You will manage your own caseload of commercial litigation matters, advising clients across a wide range of disputes and contentious matters. The role offers direct client contact, exposure to high-value and complex work, and genuine opportunities for career progression within a supportive and collaborative team.




Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, including:
  
  
  
  • Contractual disputes
  
  
  • Commercial property disputes
  
  
  • Landlord and Tenant disputes
  
  
  • Professional negligence claims
  
  
  • Debt recovery disputes
  
  


• Handle matters from inception through to resolution, providing commercially focused and pragmatic advice to clients.


• Maintain accurate matter management records and ensure clients and colleagues are kept informed of developments throughout the lifecycle of a case.


• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering an exceptional standard of client care and service.


• Attend and lead client meetings where appropriate, taking ownership of the client experience.


• Undertake legal research and prepare high-quality written advice, pleadings and court documents.


• Contribute to business development activities, client relationship initiatives and the continued growth of the Commercial Litigation practice.


• Assist with departmental compliance requirements, audits and quality assurance processes as required.


• Support and collaborate with colleagues across the wider business, sharing knowledge and expertise.

For senior lawyers and Partner-level candidates, there will be opportunities to contribute to strategic growth initiatives, mentoring and develop junior team members, and play a key role in the leadership and future direction of the team.




Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Are a qualified Solicitor with experience in Commercial Litigation. We welcome applications from Solicitors, Associates, Senior Associates and Partners.


• Have experience managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters with appropriate supervision for your level of qualification.


• Demonstrate strong technical ability and a commercial, solutions-focused approach to client matters.


• Possess excellent client care skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.


• Have strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.


• Are confident communicators with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.


• Have a proactive and motivated approach, with a desire to contribute to the continued success and growth of the team.


• Have experience or an interest in networking, business development and identifying opportunities to strengthen existing and new client relationships.


• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business and contribute positively to team objectives.

For Senior Associate and Partner-level candidates, experience of mentoring junior lawyers, developing key client relationships and supporting team growth will be highly valued. Opportunities exist to contribute to strategic growth initiatives, business development, team leadership and the future direction of the department.



Partner candidates with an existing following are encouraged to apply; however, this is not essential for individuals who can demonstrate a strong track record of business development, client relationship management and practice growth.
