Your role
Interested in working in finance and have an affinity for public policy and data, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint?
We're looking for ambitious students to join our 2026 Off-cycle Internship within our Governmental Affairs team in Switzerland.
You'll get to:
• help monitor and analyze the Swiss political and regulatory developments that may have a material impact on UBS's strategy and business, or on our clients, investors, and employees
• support and liaise with senior members of the team to coordinate important projects related to regulatory changes
• collaborate with global colleagues to ensure that best practices are shared around the region/globe
Your team
You'll be working in the Governmental Affairs Switzerland team based in Zurich.
Governmental Affairs provides comprehensive coverage of regulatory policy and political processes relevant to UBS, and leads our advocacy efforts, with colleagues based in key regions/jurisdictions globally.
Your expertise
We're looking for a candidate who:
• has completed at least 4 semesters of a bachelor's degree, and graduated no longer than six months ago (bachelor's or master's degree) ideally in economics or data science
• has a competitive minimum GPA of 4.5 according to the Swiss grading system
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadline
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency
• has specific expertise in economic policy, financial markets, political work; project or event management are a plus
• has strong analytical thinking skills
• has excellent German and English skills
Start date: 1 November 2026 or by agreement
