The Role The application penetration testers work part of the research and development team. The goal is to protect and enhance the cybersecurity posture of the organization.

The Role

The application penetration testers work part of the research and development team. The goal is to protect and enhance the cybersecurity posture of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual web and mobile application penetration tests.
  • Research and develop innovative techniques, tools, and methodologies for penetration testing services.
  • Create and deliver penetration test reports.

Requirements

  • Strong concepts of OWASP Top 10
  • Experience in performing code review of 2 or more web application programming languages (Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Python, Perl, optionally Objective-C, etc.)
  • Manual penetration testing experience (i.e. mapping applications, injecting SQLi, XSS, exploit creation)
  • Experience with any automated testing tools (i.e. Burp, AppScan, WebInspect)
  • Mobile application penetration testing (i.e. iOS, Android, Windows, Blackberry)
  • Able to communicate and articulate technical terms with non-technical audience
  • GWAPT, OSCP or CREST certification will be a good to have.
