Pictet Tech Luxembourg is one of three technology hubs (Geneva, Lisbon & Luxembourg) powering software engineering across the Pictet Group. AI has changed what it means to be a great engineer. When anyone can generate code in seconds, the difference is no longer how fast you write it, but the judgment to know whether it is right: sound, secure, and worth shipping.

As a Software Engineer at Pictet Tech Luxembourg, you will be a problem-solver first. Working within an Agile squad, your mission will be to:

• Own the delivery of product value end-to-end, from the first line of code to the moment a user benefits from it


• Solve problems rather than just implementing specifications handed to you: decide what is feasible, what the right approach is, and where the risks lie


• Own quality from the first line of code, with the testing discipline that lets your squad ship with confidence


• Design and consume APIs and systems built to last, clear contracts, well designed interfaces, observable and resilient by default


• Build with AI-assisted tooling as a natural part of your workflow, raising your output without lowering your standards

Requirements



Our ideal candidate brings both solid engineering foundations and the judgment that AI cannot generate.




What you bring

• A degree in software engineering or a related field, coupled with relevant professional experience


• Strong command of at least one core stack (Java and its ecosystem for most of our teams), with the breadth to work across the layers you need to deliver


• Working experience with several of the following: Spring, Hibernate/JPA, JavaScript, a modern frontend framework (mainly Angular or React), SQL, or NoSQL


• Solid experience writing and testing quality software using object-oriented principles, with a genuine commitment to test automation


• Familiarity with industrialized software development practices and tooling: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Maven, containerized (Docker-based) deployment, and code review as a discipline


• A working grasp of cloud-native patterns (containers, distributed systems, serverless, and the trade-offs they bring), with the literacy to make solid [JB1] architectural decisions

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. French is a strong plus.
