Location: Tokyo, Japan (Primarily Remote)

Salary: JPY 6,000,000 – 9,000,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

1. Support startup sourcing and investment origination activities.
2. Coordinate meetings and communications with Japan-based startups.
3. Accompany Southeast Asia-based investment team members (non-Japanese speakers) on company visits and meetings, providing interpretation and communication support as needed.
4. Prepare meeting materials, minutes, reports, and other investment-related documentation.
5. Support LP (Limited Partner) relationship management, including communications with Japanese LPs.
6. Help organize and communicate GP (General Partner) proposals, collect feedback, and manage related tasks and schedules.
7. Assist with various ad hoc projects and reporting requirements.
8. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Requirements

1. Advanced business-level Japanese proficiency (used for communication with portfolio companies and Japanese stakeholders).
2. Business-level English proficiency with practical experience using English in a professional environment (English interview required).
3. Minimum 2 years of professional work experience.
4. Background in a trading company, startup, venture capital firm, or corporate environment. Experience in business development is preferred.
5. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
6. Strong multitasking skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
7. Passion for venture capital and startup investing.
8. Interest in supporting business expansion across Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia.

Working Arrangement

1. Primarily remote work, with occasional startup visits and meetings.
2. Close collaboration with investment team members based across Southeast Asia.
3. Although the role is primarily remote, the office is located in Tokyo , and candidates must reside within commuting distance of Tokyo.

Additional Information

1. No work visa sponsorship is available. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Japan.
