Delivery Leader - AI, Data & Insights

What the day will look like

Aon's Reinsurance Solutions business is looking for a Lead for Data & Insights Delivery. The person will help advance AI-enabled products and modern data capabilities within the Data & Insights product line. This role will provide hands-on delivery leadership across multi-functional teams, helping move strategic AI, analytics, and data products from concept and pilot into stable, scalable production use.

• Guide teams across multiple functions through agile planning, execution, demos, retrospectives, and release readiness, ensuring delivery is aligned to product priorities, architecture standards, and measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with architects, engineering leads, product managers, data science, QA, and key business contacts to translate product objectives into executable delivery plans, technical work items, and high-quality releases.
• Support deployment of AI-enabled capabilities such as retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, document intelligence, structured extraction, analytics, and GPT-powered applications that help colleagues access trusted insights faster.
• Promote strong SDLC discipline, testing practices, CI/CD, observability, documentation, and operational readiness so solutions are secure, scalable, supportable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and governance expectations.
• Manage work across distributed teams, including onshore, nearshore, offshore, and supplier resources. Help optimize team structure, clarify accountability, remove blockers, and maintain delivery momentum.
• Provide clear updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to product, technology, and business stakeholders. Help teams make pragmatic decisions that balance speed, quality, cost, and long-term maintainability.
• Coach engineers, analysts, and delivery contributors on agile execution, technical delivery practices, estimation, backlog readiness, sprint health, and continuous improvement.

This is an opportunity to shape a growing Data & Insights product line that sits at the intersection of AI, analytics, data engineering, and modern digital workflows. The role is not limited to project coordination; it requires a hands-on delivery leader who can understand the technology, challenge assumptions, improve team execution, and help turn emerging AI capabilities into trusted business products.

You will collaborate with product managers, architects, data scientists, engineers, QA leads, business stakeholders, and vendor partners on solutions that support strategic reinsurance and risk capital priorities. The work includes modern cloud-native delivery using technologies such as Azure, Databricks, LLMs, RAG patterns, and AI-enabled automation, with an emphasis on production quality, security, governance, and measurable value.

The successful candidate will have room to influence delivery practices and strengthen team operating models. They will also help establish repeatable patterns for intelligent systems and data solution delivery across a complex, global environment.
Skills and experience that will lead to success

• Experience leading software, data, analytics, or AI delivery teams through the full SDLC, preferably in an agile environment with multiple stakeholders, vendors, and geographically distributed contributors.
• Ability to engage credibly with engineers and architects on cloud-native solution design, APIs, data pipelines, integration patterns, security, testing, DevOps, and operational readiness. Azure and Databricks experience is strongly preferred.
• Practical understanding of modern AI/GenAI delivery concepts such as LLMs, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, evaluation, vector search, observability, model/pipeline governance, and responsible scaling from pilot to production.
• Consistent track record to lead backlogs, sprint execution, dependencies, delivery risks, and executive-level communications while keeping teams focused on outcomes and business value.
• Strong coaching, facilitation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to mentor team members, resolve ambiguity, hold contributors accountable, and build trust across product, engineering, business, and supplier teams.
