Position Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Analyst to support business and technology initiatives across the Prime Brokerage and Risk Management domains. The role will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, defining target operating models, and delivering strategic solutions covering Margin Financing, Securities Lending, Collateral Management, Client Onboarding, Risk Management, Regulatory Requirements, and Operational Efficiency.

The successful candidate will possess a strong combination of business, analytical, and technical skills, with extensive experience in Prime Brokerage and capital markets. The individual will work closely with Front Office, Risk Management, Operations, Compliance, Technology teams, and external vendors to elicit requirements, perform gap analysis, design solutions, and support successful implementation.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

1. Partner with Front Office, Risk Management, Operations, Compliance, Finance, and Technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements across Prime Brokerage and Risk Management initiatives.
2. Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and solution designs to support technology delivery.
3. Perform business analysis, gap analysis, and impact assessments to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency.
4. Collaborate closely with development teams, architects, and vendors to ensure business requirements are accurately understood and implemented.
5. Contribute to solution design, system integration, data analysis, testing, and production rollout activities across the project lifecycle.
6. Play a key role in the evolution of the firm's risk management platform, including trade capture, position management, P&L, exposure, margin, collateral, and risk analytics capabilities.
7. Support the enhancement and expansion of the ACE Suite, ensuring seamless integration with front-to-back trading, risk, and operational platforms.
8. Develop and execute test scenarios, support UAT activities, and validate delivered solutions against business requirements.
9. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology outcomes.
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and leverage automation and AI technologies where appropriate.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. 6 to 8 years of experience in business analysis, project delivery, or change management within investment banking, brokerage, or capital markets environments.
3. Strong domain knowledge of Prime Brokerage and Risk Management, including Margin Financing, Securities Lending, Stock Borrowing & Lending, Collateral Management, and related operational workflows.
4. Hands-on experience with risk management platforms and a strong understanding of position management, P&L calculation, exposure management, margining, and risk analytics. Knowledge of risk sensitivities (Greeks) and market risk concepts is required.
5. Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements, and translate them into functional specifications and practical technology solutions.
6. Experience working closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to deliver business-critical initiatives.
7. Hands-on development experience with Java and enterprise application architectures is highly desirable.
8. Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across business and technology teams.
10. Ability to contribute throughout the full solution lifecycle, including requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design, testing, implementation, and production support.
11. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
12. Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is required, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
