Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) framework, policies, and procedures.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across all business units, including credit, market, operational, liquidity, and regulatory risks.
- Monitor and analyze emerging risks and trends in the financial services industry, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including Basel III, Solvency II, or other relevant frameworks.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of risk reports to the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, compliance, legal, and operations, to embed risk management practices into business processes.
- Oversee stress testing, scenario analysis, and capital adequacy assessments to evaluate the company’s resilience to adverse events.
- Manage and mentor a team of risk management professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive the development and implementation of risk management tools, technologies, and data analytics capabilities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and guidance on risk-related decisions and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA, FRM) preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in risk management within the financial services industry, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Deep knowledge of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Strong understanding of financial products, markets, and instruments, including derivatives, fixed income, and equities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance risk and reward.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Professional certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager), PRM (Professional Risk Manager), or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) are highly desirable.
- Experience with risk management software and data analytics tools is a plus.
