Job Description
- Leading and managing fundraising efforts, including preparation and presentation of pitch materials, investor communications, and negotiating terms with Limited Partners (LPs).
- Creating the conditions for fundraising success such as developing compelling fund narratives, preparing offering documents, and coordinating the legal closing and capital call processes.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective LPs, including institutional investors, family offices, and other capital sources.
- Engaging directly with LPs to close major fundraising commitments and provide ongoing transparency and reporting that supports continued investor confidence and future fundraising cycles.
- Originating transactions by sourcing new investment opportunities, networking extensively within target industries, and leveraging a strong deal pipeline.
- Leading initial due diligence and deal evaluation efforts to structure attractive investment terms aligned with the firm's strategy and return targets.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with investment, legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure seamless transaction execution post-origination.
- Demonstrating a proven track record of successful fundraising rounds in private equity or alternative investment contexts and a history of originating and closing deals with measurable value creation.
- Possessing strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to act as a credible and influential representative of the firm to both investors and potential portfolio companies
1. Extensive Fundraising Experience
- Proven track record of raising capital across multiple fund cycles.
- Deep understanding of investor relations, capital deployment strategies, and fundraising timelines.
- Ability to tailor pitches and fund strategies to different LP profiles (e.g., sovereign wealth funds, family offices, pension funds).
- Established relationships with global and regional LPs.
- Skilled in maintaining long-term trust and engagement with institutional investors.
- Capable of navigating complex LP demands and aligning them with fund objectives.
- Expertise in negotiating fund terms, side letters, co-investment rights, and fee structures.
- Ability to lead discussions on fund governance, liquidity provisions, and exit strategies.
- Familiarity with legal frameworks and compliance issues related to fund formation.
- Ability to represent the firm at high-level investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills to articulate the firm's vision and performance.
- Collaborative leadership style to work closely with investment teams, legal, and finance.
- Insight into macroeconomic factors affecting fundraising and investment appetite.
- Knowledge of sector-specific trends and how they impact LP interest.
- Ability to adapt fundraising strategies to evolving market conditions.
