As a Direct Tax Technology consultant, you help leading companies by improving their direct tax cycles from corporate income tax returns to tax accounting to operational transfer pricing and Pillar Two. You work in ERP projects for implementing for instance S/4 HANA or Oracle Cloud, but also implement tax accounting technology like Oracle's EPM Tax Reporting (TRCS), Longview, TR's OTP or others.

Tax and finance departments today often face significant resource constraints, requiring an increased focus on efficiency and effective use of technology to streamline their compliance and reporting processes. Overreliance on spreadsheets, outdated technology, and a lack of integration between tax and finance systems can hamper their ability to obtain and analyze the data needed for timely and accurate tax compliance and reporting. The combination with Finance Transformation and large scale system implementations make tax departments opt for a transition towards technology-driven tax processes.

This is how:

Creating business cases for transition;

Designing better tax processes in terms of efficiency, control and added value;

Designing IT architectures that integrate the full direct tax cycle in ERP and Consolidation systems;

Implementing direct tax technology solutions managing stakeholders in Tax, Finance and IT;

Working in a multidisciplinary team of consultants and IT & tax specialists.

For this role, we are looking for a Senior Consultant with:

A university degree in a relevant field (e.g. Tax, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or similar).

Experience in Direct Tax Technology is a strong plus, but not mandatory.

At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or controlling with exposure to ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and data-driven process improvement.

You are a true team player, and you're energized by the intersection of business, data and technology, keen to apply that mindset to direct tax processes and solutions.

A genuine interest in deepening expertise in direct tax technology and automation.

Strong analytical and communication skills, and an eagerness to learn and collaborate in multidisciplinary teams (tax, finance, IT).

Experience in Tax is a strong plus, but not a strict requirement.

Fluent in English.
