South East Melbourne | 3-Month Contract | Commencing 3 August | Full-Time
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Community Inclusion Project Officer to join a collaborative Community Services team on a three-month contract. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating inclusive communities and has experience delivering community development, disability inclusion or social planning initiatives.
In this position, you will lead and support projects that promote diversity, equity and inclusion, working closely with community groups, government agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for the local community.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about creating inclusive communities and has experience delivering community development, disability inclusion or social planning initiatives.
In this position, you will lead and support projects that promote diversity, equity and inclusion, working closely with community groups, government agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes for the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver community inclusion initiatives and projects.
- Coordinate a Disability, Inclusion and Access Advisory Committee.
- Build strong relationships with community organisations, service providers and key stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and review of community inclusion strategies and action plans.
- Provide advice on accessibility and inclusion across programs, projects and community initiatives.
- Assist community groups with grant opportunities and inclusive program development.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in community development, social planning, disability inclusion or a similar role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Community Development, Disability Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health or a related discipline.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and community consultation skills.
- Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
- Experience preparing reports, submissions and strategic documents.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion principles and relevant legislation.
- A current Victorian Driver's Licence.
- 3-month contract commencing 3 August
