We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-established organisation based in Fremantle for an initial 6-8 week temporary assignment, with an immediate start required.
This is a hands-on, high-volume AP position suited to someone who can confidently step into a busy finance environment and hit the ground running. You will be responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
The Role:
- High-volume, end-to-end invoice processing
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals and supporting documentation
- Three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices and goods receipts
- Processing supplier payments and assisting with payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
- Managing supplier queries and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Investigating duplicate invoices, incorrect coding and payment discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate AP records in line with company policies and procedures
- Assisting with month-end AP reconciliations and reporting
- Supporting process improvements across the finance function
About You:
- Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable position
- Strong end-to-end AP knowledge
- Experience with three-way matching, supplier reconciliations and payment runs
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate discrepancies
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using Oracle would be advantageous, however is not essential
- Availability to commence at short notice and commit to the full 6-8 week assignment
