A highly respected accounting and advisory firm is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Manager or Manager to join their South Sydney office and work directly alongside the principal in a genuine succession opportunity.

Rather than simply stepping into another management role, you'll become the Principal's 2IC, gradually taking ownership of an established client portfolio while developing your leadership skills within a growing national group.

The Role
Working closely with the principal, you'll become a key member of the leadership team and be heavily involved in managing client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse portfolio of business clients
• Providing tax planning and business advisory services
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns
• Building long-term relationships with clients
• Managing workflow and mentoring junior staff
• Identifying advisory opportunities to add value to clients
• Working closely with the Principal on strategic client matters
• Assisting with the future growth of the office

About You
You'll ideally bring:

• CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
• 5+ years' experience within Australian Public Practice
• Experience managing your own client portfolio
• Strong technical knowledge across Business Services & Tax
• Previous experience reviewing work and mentoring staff
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills
• Ambition to progress into a leadership position
