The Fianance Analyst is responsible for providing financial advisory and support to the Divisions $100+ million program of work.
The Group and Project Finance Partners Branch provides strategic and operational financial advice and assistance to management within the Department of Human Services. Functions include preparation of Group budgets, analysis of financial and non-financial performance, financial management of projects, routine financial reporting, and support for capital investment decisions. The Branch also assist with the collection and quality control over financial information required for monthly and statutory reporting, asset management, costing, taxation and audit matters.
The Finance Analyst reports to the Adelaide Delivery Centre Management Accountant, and is responsible for providing financial advisory and support to the Divisions $100+ million program of work. This support includes accrual and journal processing, budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting using our corporate toolsets (IBM TM1 Cognos, SAP FI, and Microsoft Excel).
This role would suit an applicant with a background in management / project accounting, or auditing experience in a medium to large tier firm, who wishes to develop their already strong analytical and client management skills through exposure to a number of complex Government ICT projects. The dynamic nature of our clients operations also requires adaptability to changing working priorities and a demonstrated ability to apply sound professional judgement in time and information constrained situations.

Tertiary qualification in an Accounting, Finance, or Commerce related discipline.
Security Clearance - The successful candidate will be required to currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
