Manager of the TCW, MetWest, and TCW Alternative Fund Families

Paralegal

This position reports to attorneys of the Legal Department and is responsible for assisting the department with all aspects of private funds, in addition to general corporate matters. The role requires the ability to prioritize competing priorities and projects as well as working well in a team environment. We are seeking a team member with fund experience, who can take initiative and exercise appropriate judgment. Familiarity with alternative funds and limited partnerships preferred.

~Responsibilities:

Assist team with the fund offering and formation process, including sending, tracking and reviewing offering memorandum and other private fund documentation.
Perform tasks related to maintenance of private funds, including drafting and reviewing transfer agreements for investors, responding to investor information requests and other fund related matters.
Assist with all aspects of entity creation and maintenance, including updating the firm’s legal entity database.
Execute reports in Salesforce as requested.
Assist with general corporate matters, including reviewing and drafting board consents and reviewing confidentiality agreements.
Assist with drafting and filing certain regulatory filings.
Handle entity billing.
Assist with Legal Department projects arising from time to time.
Complete other projects and responsibilities as directed by the attorneys of the Legal Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
5+ years of relevant experience including experience working in corporate law firms or in-house legal departments required; private fund background preferred
Certified as Paralegal
Highly organized with focused attention to detail
Must work well in a team environment
Strong analytical and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Self-starter, roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Desired Qualifications:

Previous investment management experience or knowledge in the industry a plus
Experience working with Salesforce
