Position Description
The Global Financial Crimes Compliance ("GFCC") Specialist under supervision, assists Global Financial Crimes Compliance executives and managers in any of the following activities in support of the identification, escalation and timely mitigation of compliance risks in alignment with the Compliance Risk Management (" CRM") Program and the Financial Crimes and Global Compliance Enterprise Policies ("GC Policy"):

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • As an individual contributor, identify and incorporate any developments with Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") Customer Due Diligence ("CDD") requirements for the countries in the Asia Pacific Region where Bank of America operates
  • Provide timely, accurate, and actionable advice and counsel to all Front Line Units, based on enterprise-wide requirements and each country's local CDD requirements
  • Review incoming high-risk client files (on-boarding, refresh, escalations) in order to make recommendations for approval, decline and/or closure from a financial crimes compliance perspective
  • Hold client-facing conversations, when needed, in order to complete the review of client files
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to strengthen CDD Compliance strategy and lead implementation of tactical & strategic enhancement efforts
  • Prepare reports for management covering CDD matters
  • Lead and conduct training on CDD requirements to various lines of business and enterprise counterparts
  • Perform monitoring and testing exercises of Front Line Unit CDD processes
  • Liaise with internal audit and external regulators on CDD matters, as they arise

Key requirements
  • Degree Required: Bachelor's or equivalent
  • Minimum Years Business and functional experience: 5 Years
  • Anti-money laundering/financial crimes experience in a financial institution or government position in a Financial Services institution and/or related government entity is desired
  • Good knowledge of AML typologies
  • Analytical, organized and possess decision making skills
