We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual with solid experience in transaction reporting and OTC derivatives to help reduce risk and provide ongoing support to the business for the next 12 months. This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Market Operations Division Transaction Reporting team to ensure Macquarie's operational and reporting compliance requirements are met.

About the role

The Transaction Reporting Team is responsible for the on-going monitoring and management of global OTC transaction s reporting across all businesses which are cleared or reportable from pre-settlement to termination. While, the reporting commenced with the introduction of the Dodd Frank Act, many other countries have followed suit. As such, the team is required to analyse and escalate exceptions within the reporting to various to provide a successful operation in line with new legislation as well as contribute to managing the implementation of regulatory changes from other countries.

Your will be responsible for:
  • monitoring the reporting process
  • point of contact for junior members of the team
  • 'Second level' investigations
  • managing exceptions in the dealset internally and at the regulatory repository
  • involvement in project work to meet changes in regulatory rules
  • assisting Front Office with middleware and regulatory reporting queries

About you

To be successful in this role you will be enthusiastic, analytical and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have:
  • four years experience in financial markets across various products
  • knowledge and experience with MTS, Quantum or Core preferable
  • excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • be pro-active, responsible and have good attention to detail
  • possess tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or a related field
